Water main repairs may cut service Thursday in District 1
Red Hook announced Oct. 27 that water main repair work Thursday, Oct. 29 could cut off service from Fruitbud Lane to Knox Road and Linden Avenue, with a possible outage for the whole Water District #1.
The Town of Red Hook announced Oct. 27 that water main repair work planned for Thursday, Oct. 29 could disrupt service for parts of Water District #1.
The repair work affects the area from Fruitbud Lane to Knox Road, including the corresponding section of Linden Avenue, where customers may experience a water turn off that morning. The town said work on the mains that day could also require a potential water turn off for the entire Water District.
The town recommended that Water District customers keep a few gallons of water on hand, especially for drinking and cooking. It also said additional, hopefully brief, outages may occur during the repainting of the district's storage tanks.
The town thanked residents for their patience.
