NY RED HOOK — Red Hook Town Board appropriated $40,000 to advance Water District No. 2 formation. Supervisor Robert McKeon, Councilmembers William Hamel, Kristina Dousharm, and Jacob Testa voted unanimously to direct the Town Engineer to complete planning documents by May for grant applications that would establish a mandatory water and sewer district serving areas outside the Village boundary except one parcel with split zoning. The Board also approved the lowest-price EV van bid despite Highway Superintendent Theresa Burke's concerns about vehicle range and availability, continued the existing MVP Silver 8 healthcare plan, and unanimously reappointed members to the Zoning Board of Appeals, Water District No. 1, and Ethics Board.
