NY RED HOOK — The Town Board voted 4-1 to move a water property acquisition plan forward. The Board classified the Water District No. 1 property action and scheduled a May 12 public hearing on a Community Preservation Plan amendment allowing the Town to purchase surplus parcels using Community Preservation Fund money to offset water tank rehabilitation costs. The Board unanimously authorized solicitation of bids for Well No. 1 rehabilitation, due May 5, and voted 4-0 to approve air quality sensors at Town Hall and Recreation Park with Hudson Valley Community Air Network subscription for $3,625 annually.
Councilmember Jacob Testa recused himself from the air quality vote due to his Bard College employment.
