Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee · Meeting of April 28, 2026
NY RED HOOK — The Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee reviewed draft vision statements and goals, providing feedback on their framework and content. Chair Julia Solomon and guest Eric Pierson of Pattern for Progress presented the planning documents; committee members endorsed the general approach but noted that planning language should be simplified and connected more strongly to demographic data and implementation strategies. Members expressed interest in community input on goal prioritization and potential trade-offs.
Solomon and Pierson also presented plans for Apple Blossom Day and Workshop 2 at Rose Hill Farm. The May 26 committee meeting is cancelled; the next session is June 23.
