Red Hook Planning Board scheduled public hearings on the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome master plan and a residential accessory structure while extending Bard College's temporary dormitory approval.

(2) Planning Board · Meeting of May 18, 2026

NY RED HOOK — Red Hook Planning Board scheduled public hearings on the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome master plan and a residential accessory structure while extending Bard College's temporary dormitory approval. The board unanimously extended the expiration date of three temporary dorms by 24 months to June 2028, allowing housing renovations to continue; Coleen Alexander said the work includes deep cleanings, rug replacements and painting. For the Aerodrome, the board reviewed a master plan proposing two large buildings for aircraft storage and maintenance; applicant representative Kelly Libolt clarified the project aims to provide safe space for over 70 aircraft and does not propose new air shows.

The board requested clarifications on parking, building viewshed, and stormwater management before the June 1 public hearing. The board also scheduled a June 1 hearing for Erik Schmidt and Sequoia Neiro's application to construct a 1,497-square-foot mixed-use structure, requesting they revise lighting specifications to meet zoning requirements.
