NY RED HOOK — Red Hook's Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee, chaired by Julia Solomon and advised by consultant Eric Pierson of Pattern for Progress, set a target to complete community vision-related outreach by the end of February. Kitchen Table Conversations and events at Red Hook Community Center and Red Hook High School were planned for February, with targeted outreach to Bard students, middle and high school students, new residents, emergency service providers, business and trades workers, seniors, and Spanish speakers. The committee discussed sample comprehensive plans from Kingston, Rhinebeck, Chatham, Poughkeepsie, and Boston, New York, and expressed a desire for the final plan to serve town government and committees while remaining approachable to the public.
The committee planned a Spring 2026 workshop focused on developing goals and strategies once community engagement concludes.
